Not Your Grandmother's Alice

I can't wait to see Tim Burton's rendition of Alice in Wonderland! I remember as a little girl, my parents brought home a copy of the original Disney's Alice in Wonderland to cheer me up from having the chicken pox. During the scene when Alice gets lost in the night of the forest and begins to cry....down came the sympathy tears, streaming down my cheeks (which was horrible b/c it made the chicken pox on my face itch!)

I don't think this will be the sympathy-evoking Alice in Wonderland that I'm used to, but everything looks so gorgeous, I cannot wait to see it! And of course...who wouldn't love Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter!....although I hope it's not going to be like Willy Wonka....
