"Art is Recession Proof"

With this beautiful May weather, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to do something "cultured". Although I excuse my daily walks with Toby the pomeranian to the LACMA park as being "cultural", I thought a dose of art at Deliciously Uncivilized's, "Art is Recession Proof" would do me good. It also helps that Mr. R, the boyfriend, was showing one of his pieces at the show.

Of course, hands down, I am a fan of Mr. R's art, *wink wink*, but I must say some pieces by artist Adam Alaniz, caught my eye as well.

The details, and the organic lines, going about as they wish make me feel like the paintings are dancing. I love the color palettes that he incorporates into his paintings; creating a childlike, imaginative world, giving you a gleeful moment away from reality.
