The Love of a Mother

Happy Mother's Day All!....May all the mothers of the world be blessed for their love, the many sacrifices they've made, and for the dedication towards their children.

Although the day to day things my mother does, such as calling me to update me on random news and information (i.e. that pomegranate increases bust size....), the way she ALWAYS laughs at my jokes and her funny expression when I do something crazy (she looks at me like a I'm a lunatic, which I find hilarious)....there's an event that I don't remember happening, but I am reminded of through a scar.

As a baby, I had been stricken with the flu, as many children are, but it had led to dehydration and consequentially, a seizure. My mother, afraid of having me bite my tongue, from the convulsions, and bleeding to death, voluntarily, and with love, stuck her poor finger into my mouth (in which my brand new, sharp baby teeth had just grown in). I hate imagining the pain she must have endured until the ambulance came, finding not only one, but two persons to treat; as my mother's finger had been chewed up raw.

As a sacrificial act of love, I know my mother would do it over and over, if it meant to save her child's life. For this and for all the acts of kindess she shows everyday, I am blessed and can happily say, Happy Mother's Day! <3

Don't forget to give your mother a HUGE hug and a kiss!
