I think one of the best ways to start my morning is with hot lemon tea and a beautifully sculpted plump muffin top sans the flat, unexciting excess. The only way I eat the rest of the muffin is by imagining my mother telling me about the "starving children in Somalia"....
Thus I begin my blog, an outlet to share all my "muffin tops", and the like....the random nothings that make me smile!
Today I start with what more than.... tissues! As mundane and simple they may seem.....
Allergy season has now hit! How would we survive without the simple tissue? Yes, there are other tools to be used....but nothing better than a tissue! While at work today, a string of cat hairs (yes there are cats in the office) tornado-ed up my nose (I promise it really formed into a tornado first) and I was the victim of the unfortunate case of a missing tissue box (I blame it on the cats). Searching high and low, I resorted to using a piece of paper towel, and it was not very pleasant!
Some may say I am spoiled, which I agree...but a tissue would have been nice. So here is an ode to "Kleenex"

The world without tissues....

Did you know...
"The material from which Kleenex is made was originally called, "Cellucotton," and was designed by Kimberly-Clark during World War I. It came to be used in gas mask filters during the war as a replacement for cotton, which was in high demand for use as a surgical dressing."
-as stated by my best friend, Wikipedia
Can you imagine if they decided to name it "Cellucotton"....
"Achoo!! ....Can you please pass the box of celucottons?..."
Happy Thursday! Savor Your Tissues!
